Curriculum Vitae
Ignacio Larráyoz Roldán graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra in 1999. He received his PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra in 2004, under the supervision of Dr. M Pilar Lostao, investigating the mechanism by which nucleoside transporters carry anticancer and antiviral drugs. In 2002 conducted a pre-doctoral stay in the department of physiology at the University of California-Los Angeles under the supervision of Dr. Ernest M. Wright.
Upon completion of the doctoral thesis he was incorporated as a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Saavedra in the Department of Pharmacology, National Institute of Mental Health belonging to the National Institutes of Health USA (NIMH / NIH) (2005-2008). He later joined the lab of Dr. Rodriguez in the Mechanisms of Retinal Diseases Section, National Eye Institute, NIH (2008-2010). During these periods he studied the mechanisms and intracellular pathways involved in inflammation and cell death.
In February 2010, he joined the CIBIR as a postdoctoral researcher in the area of oncology for the evaluation and study of the anti-angiogenic mechanisms of a new therapy developed against pterigium.
