CURRICULUM
Holding a chair in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of La Rioja (UR) since 2003, she is also a Doctor in Pharmacy from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Specialist in Clinical Microbiology (FIR) at the Ramon y Cajal Hospital in Madrid. Between 1982-1985, she was an Associate Researcher in the Medical Centre of the University of Chicago and later Medical Specialist in Microbiology at the Severo Ochoa University in Leganes (Madrid).
Her links with the University of La Rioja date back to 1988.
Her curriculum numbers 130 scientific publications and includes the supervision of 10 doctoral theses. Furthermore, she has participated in 21 projects, both national and international, in 18 of which she was the principal researcher. She has a patent and is the Coordinator of the group doing research into “Molecular Ecology of Resistance to Antimicrobials and Food Safety” at the UR. She also collaborates with other national and international research groups and has participated on the Scientific Committee and the Organization Committee of different congresses and scientific conferences at national and international level. She has also received diverse awards for her research work.
