CURRICULUM
In the period between 1996 and 1999 he wrote his doctoral Thesis in the Department of Microbiology and Genetics in the Faculty of Biology at the University of Salamanca. Subsequently, between 2000 and 2006, he was a Postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Ralf Schnabel at the Institute of Genetics of the Braunschweig University of Technology (Germany).
From 2006 until mid 2009 he worked as an I3P researcher at the CSIC (Higher Council for Scientific Research) in Dr. Sergio Moreno’s group, in the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Cancer, the Centre for Cancer Research and CSIC at the University of Salamanca. He is currently Group Director in the Area of Oncology at the Biomedical Research Centre of La Rioja (CIBIR), where he carries on his activities centered on the study of the pathways that regulate cellular differentiation during development and cancer, in particular the Wnt pathway.
