CURRICULUM
Dr. Ochoa obtained her B.S. degree in Biology at the University of Navarra (1998-2001) and received her Ph.D. in Hepatology and Gene Therapy from the University of Navarra in 2007. During her thesis she worked on the development of new vaccination strategies against hepatitis B infection and in the study of novel immune evasion mechanisms of HBV. Dr. Ochoa carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Cologne (Germany) under the supervision of Dr. Manolis Pasparakis, where she studied the role of NF-kB signaling pathway in hepatocarcinogenesis within the European project, “Functional genomics approaches in animal models to study human immunological disease”. In February 2009, she joined the Oncology Area at the Center for Biomedical Research of La Rioja (CIBIR). Dr. Ochoa primary research interests include the design, characterization, and application of anti-tumoral therapies based on new anti-angiogenic strategies.
