Conceived as a permanent, modern and versatile structure for the promotion of research in the field of Health Sciences in La Rioja, the Rioja Health Foundation (FRS) being the entity responsible for the management and coordination of CIBIR, in order to facilitate a much more flexible and effective management.

With a total constructed surface area of 12,137 m2, the CIBIR’s intention is to carry out translational research based on excellence, setting an example in commitment to progress and improvement in the quality of health care in the Public Health Service, by providing advanced support services which synergistically integrate the research activities with the health care processes that require a high level of technology.

The CIBIR is closely linked, both physically and functionally to the San Pedro Hospital, the referral hospital in our Community, which is of fundamental importance in the development of the regional policy on R and D in Health Sciences in La Rioja.
