Maria Pilar Martinez Moral graduated in Chemistry in 2009 and obtained her PhD diploma in Analytical Chemistry by the University of La Rioja in 2015.
In April 2015, she started her postdoctoral experience in Dr. Rosato´s research group at the Houston Methodist Hospital Research Institute (Houston, TX, US), where she studied the mechanisms involved in the development of antibiotic resistance in MRSA. In December 2016, she joined Dr. Kannan´s laboratory at the Wadsworth Center (New York Department of Health, Albany, NY, US) as research affiliate. There, she participated in biomonitoring projects, and in the determination of organic contaminant metabolites and oxidative stress biomarkers in biological samples.
In September 2019, she joined the Oncology research group headed by Dr. Alfredo Martinez at the Center for Biomedical Research of La Rioja (CIBIR) after the concession of the “Beca Stop Fuga de Cerebros” contract by the Fundación Rioja Salud in collaboration with Roche Farma, to participate in research projects about the study of biomarkers for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
