María studied Biology and Biochemistry at University of Navarra where she graduated in 2012. Then she studied the Master degree of Virology at Complutense University of Madrid. During this time, she worked at the National Centre of Microbiology, a part of the Carlos III Health Institute, developing her end-of-Master’s project; Human Parechovirus TIII and its implications in pathogenity, supervised by Dr María Cabrerizo. She obtained her Virology Master degree in September 2014.
In 2015 she started her second Master degree in Chemistry and Biotechnology at University of La Rioja (Logroño). In February 2016 she joined Dr Alfredo Martinez´s research group at CIBIR (Centre for Biomedical Research of La Rioja) to conduct her end-of-Master’s project; Characterization of Small Molecules which modulate CIRP expression until September 2016.
Now, she continues in the same research line as a predoctoral researcher.
